Hair and Makeup Artists Booth

  • Hair/Makeup Artists (HMUA) should read the Rules & Regulations for our contestants concerning hair/makeup regulations and follow those Rules & Regulations. HMU artists with more than 3 clients are required to be set up in the makeup book area.
  • If a HMU Artist causes a contestant to break a hair or makeup rule through his/her services,  the contestant will receive a deduction on her final score.
  • When attending a PURE event, HMUA should not act unprofessionally, drink alcoholic beverages in public, smoke, use illegal substances, or use inappropriate language in or around our finalists, staff, or in the pageant area. Hair/Makeup Artists should dress professionally at all times.
  • Gossiping or talking negative about other HMUA, contestants, staff, or Directors will cause your business to be asked to leave immediately and a full refund to all clients will be required. All prizes awarded/forthcoming must still be provided and honored.
  • PURE is not responsible for finalists who do not pay their HMU bill and will not compensate a HMA for finalists who do not show up or fail to pay. PURE will not get involved in product/service or payment disputes.
  • PURE is not responsible for funds lost due to a change of pageant dates or hotel venue or in the event of a pandemic or Act of God.
  • PURE is not responsible for injury or illness to a HMA or his/her guests or assistants at our events.
  • HMUA are responsible for their own travel, meals, and hotel accommodations.
  • Hair/Makeup Artists are required to have the proper certifications required by the state in which he/she is doing business. It is the HMA's responsibility to research, apply, and receive the correct documents/certifications before conducting business. PURE is not responsible if a HMA is fined for not having the proper accreditations.
  • PURE is not responsible for the promotion of any HMA at any event. If PURE promotes a HMA it is at our discretion. However, PURE does reserve the right to promote our Official Main HMUA.
  • HMUA will receive a complimentary table and two chairs as well as 2 free admission tickets to the events in exchange for a sponsorship of at least 8 titleholders.  More tables/chairs can possibly be provided, if space allows. Sponsorship amount may vary based on the event. For the North America/USA and the International Pageant, HMUA gift value should be least $50 or more per winner, for a minimum of at least $400 total prize value. HMUA may sponsor more winners, if he/she chooses to do so.  All gifts must be presented at the pageant PRIOR to the start of the pageant before HMU services can be started. Prizes may include products, not future gift certificates or services.
  • Only six complimentary spaces will be available at the 2021 USA National/International Pageants. Additional HMU artists performing services in other areas of the venue with more than 3 clients must pay a HMUA fee of $50 per client to the Pageant Director.
  • HMU pricing should be close/consistent with other HMU artists. Remember, undercutting your services ONLY devalues YOUR work.
  • State and other National Pageants may have HMA fees and different sponsorship requirements.  Please contact the appropriate Pageant Director for information and pricing.
